Our grandson Tyler did not disappoint.
We made it just in time to witness the entire race and all the boys did a wonderful job preparing their race cars for the event.
The Dads raced the sons in the end to add a little spice to the fun.
I saw some old friends and lots of family and Bobby made a big hit as I knew he would. He really enjoyed seeing the kids and the race as it was his first "Pinewood Derby".
Son Jon brought the car he made when he was a boy and there were lots of comments about the "flaming hand". (It did look like a hand)
A pizza party followed and fun with the family.
We sure were tired when we got back to Concord. I started in preparing six pairs of jeans for hemming. It's been a long time since I did that much sewing at once, but I got it done the next day around 1:30 PM.
We visited son Chris and Gabby in Manchester, then made a quick trip back to Andover to deliver the pants. Whew!
We're back in Maine for a few days to recouperate for the next party. Julianna's birthday will be a joy and we've had a ball shopping and being indulging grandparents.
Had our new "used" truck painted and repaired and just got it back. It looks great and I'm sure we'll get lots of use out of it. The Champagnes seem to be always moving something.
Some things never change.
